Into the Castle is a South African house and techno festival from the creators of Into the Valley. After two parties inside a former limestone quarry in Sweden, the brand have decided to turn themselves into a festival series, now taking over a factory in Estonia and Cape Town's oldest colonial building.
The latter will be the brands first excursion outside of Europe, and yet it will still retain its core focus on advanced electronic music, but this time with more local artists alongside the more familiar, headline names we've come to expect from Into the Valley.
Paying homage to the birthplace of ancient rhythms, Into the Valley aims to incorporate its setting as much as possible. By hosting a festival in a castle associated with the injustices of colonialism and apartheid, Into the Valley want to bring out a theme of freedom and hope, giving everyone the chance to reclaim themselves through a love of music.
