Taking place in Marciac, southwestern France, Jazz in Mariac Festival as the name suggests is a music festival whose primary focus is on Jazz.   However, with recent performers from the likes of Sting, The Jacksons, Angelique Kidjo, and Avishai Cohen, the festival reaches far beyond one genre, dipping its toes in funk, soul, world, and reggae.   In addition to the music, the festival includes a village that hosts free concerts on the square, art exhibitions, films, a market for local products, and stands selling craftwork.
